Cable Technician

Locations we are recruiting in:
Chicago, Brooklyn, Detroit, Denver, Austin, Houston, Dallas, Cleveland, Milwaukee, Phoenix, Cincinnati
As a cable tech, you are responsible to install services (Internet, cable tv, landline) at client's locations. This is an on-the-road job, requiring driving a work van with tools and equipment. We start the job by identifying which services we are installing on a given day and making sure we have enough equipment, then drive to the customer and start by inspecting any existing services, making sure the outside (tap, connectors, ground) is fine, clean, and new. Then inspect the home and create a plan to install services, making sure the client understands and agrees. After this comes the fun part - running and terminating all connections needed, testing the signal and provisioning the equipment, educating the client on installed services, and making sure everything is answered before completing the work order and moving to the next. The route typically has 7-10 Work Orders a day, so time management is essential to this position.
